As some of you may know that American Apparel filed for bankruptcy back in 2015 and I recently learned that they’re slowly shutting down their stores. For me this is devastating news since I cherish the brand for their incredible basics. I had to find the next best thing; I was looking for a store that sold quality basics with a similar price tag to AA. By chance I was flipping through The New York Times and I found my solution. Under the browsing section there was a picture of a plain white tee and wait it gets better. Not only was this t-shirt 25$, approximately the same price as an AA T-shirt, but it was created by two former American Apparel employees. Iris Alonzo, former AA creative director, and Carolina Crespo, former graphics and childrenswear director, started a brand called Everybody. Is Everybody the new and improved American Apparel?
