Blazers have been a huge hit among celebrities and bloggers. Blogger, NYC Bambi is known to sport a chic blazer. Tom Ford’s Spring 2018 ready to wear collection featured power blazers. In today’s society women are coming together and making “future is female” a reality, like Prabal Gurung’s t-shirts stated last FW. In the 80’s women we’re joining the workforce at full speed and wore business attire to look powerful. So put on you’re blazer (if you want to step it up a level choose one with shoulder padding) and be a #girlboss.
Puff Sleeves and Gingham
I personally have been loving the puff sleeved trend. Mid summer I bought a white puff sleeved shirt from Maison Cleo, a french brand that's been creating a lot of buzz on Instagram. Also, Maison Cleo makes a red and white Gingham shirt with puff sleeves, it's two trends in one (https://www.maisoncleo.com/blank-l62lg/julie-shirt-3). Designers such as Ulla Johnson, Sachin Babi, Creatures of Comfort, Noon By Noor, and Brock featured puff sleeves on the runway. Designers that featured gingham include Adam Selman, Creatures of comfort, and R13.
Midi Dresses and The Garden Pattern
I adore the very lady like length, midi dresses are an update form tea party dresses that were popular from this past summer. I’m excited to see all the Virgin Suicide and The Beguiled inspired looks. The designers that featured the garden print/ midi dresses at NYFW are Desigual, Ulla Johnson, Noon By Noor, Haus Alkire, Creature Of Comfort, and Tadashi Shoji Brock, R13, Calvin Klein, Sachin Babi, and Novis.
This beautiful rich red hue was seen at New York Fashion week. Designers such as Calvin Klein, Brock, Desigual, Assembly New York, Noon By Noor, and Adam Selman used this color in many of their ensembles.
