I came across this colored leather trend in British Vogue's first issue with Edward Enninful as Editor-in-Cheif. They called it Pigment Politics and recommended avoiding toning down your outfit and instead to add more color where you feel is necessary. I picked up my burgundy leather skirt from Loéil, a brand that loves to play with interesting silhouettes and fun colors. We saw colored leather on an array of runways including, Proenza Schouler, Valentino, Molly Goddard, Tod's, Saint Laurent, and Loewe.
